Pro Activation Problems Pro
First, the basics. Pro is an add-on. You need all of these:
- WooCommerce
- Live Carts for WooCommerce (free)
- Live Carts for WooCommerce Pro, installed and active. If you bought on BerryPress, it must also be activated with your order details.
Bought on the WooCommerce Marketplace?
Then there is no Activation screen and no order number to enter. Pro works as soon as the plugin is active. The sections about the Activation screen below only apply to BerryPress purchases. Jump to WooCommerce Marketplace purchases.
"Pro features are disabled" or the plugin is not working
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Live Carts Pro is installed but the free plugin is not active | Install or activate the free plugin. The notice has a link. |
| Pro features are disabled because the free plugin is older than X.0.0 | Update the free Live Carts plugin. |
| Pro is installed but has not yet been activated | Click Activate Now and enter your order details. |
Errors on the Activation screen
| Error | Meaning and fix |
|---|---|
| Your order ID and/or email address is incorrect. | Check the order number and use the exact email from checkout. It doesn't matter which of your orders you use. |
| You have reached the maximum number of site activations. | All sites on your license are in use. Deactivate one in your BerryPress account (My Account → Orders). Currently, deactivating from the plugin's Activation screen alone does not free the slot. We plan to improve this. Or upgrade. localhost doesn't count. |
| This activation key has expired. | Your subscription has lapsed. Renew it to activate this site. |
| We could not complete API authorization for this activation key. | Try again in a few minutes. If it continues, contact support. |
| We had trouble retrieving your purchase details. | Usually temporary. Try again later. |
| Something went wrong during the activation attempt. | Your site might be unable to make outgoing HTTPS requests. Ask your host whether a firewall blocks berrypress.com, then try again. |
Updates stopped working
If you see a message about repeated errors when checking for updates, your license may have expired or not be activated for this site. Check your BerryPress account, then re-activate.
WooCommerce Marketplace purchases
Marketplace licences and updates are handled by WooCommerce.com, not by the BerryPress Activation screen.
- Pro features missing? Check that the free plugin is up to date (at least the version Pro requires; if it is older, Live Carts shows a notice in the admin) and active, and that Pro itself is active on the Plugins screen.
- No updates showing? New releases can appear on WooCommerce.com with a delay, because they go through an additional review process. If you still don't see an update, connect your site to your WooCommerce.com account and check that your subscription is active. See Installing extensions and managing your subscriptions.
- Questions about billing or the licence go to WooCommerce.com.
