Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BerryPress documentation website at berrypress.com/docs (the "Documentation Site"). The Documentation Site is operated by Anna Widera, trading as BerryPress, Adama Mickiewicza 3c/25, 43-170 Łaziska Górne, Poland ("BerryPress", "we", "us").

By accessing or using the Documentation Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

Scope. These Terms cover the Documentation Site only. Purchases, licenses, subscriptions, refunds and support for BerryPress plugins and services are governed by the BerryPress Terms of Service on our main website. If the two conflict on a matter concerning a purchase, a plugin license or support, the main website terms prevail.

1. Purpose and informational nature of the content

The Documentation Site provides general technical information about installing, configuring and using BerryPress plugins. The content is provided for informational purposes only. It is not professional, legal, security, tax or compliance advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who understands your specific situation.

2. No warranty

The Documentation Site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability.

WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, hosting environments and third-party plugins and themes change frequently and are outside our control. Instructions, screenshots, code samples and settings may become outdated, may not apply to your version or configuration, and may behave differently on your site. We do not guarantee that following the documentation will produce a particular result.

3. Your responsibility when following instructions

You are solely responsible for deciding whether and how to apply anything you read here. Before making changes to a live website you should:

  • take a complete backup of your files and database that you have verified can be restored;
  • test the change on a staging or development copy first;
  • review any code sample and adapt it to your environment before using it; and
  • make sure your use of the software, and of any data processed through it, complies with the laws that apply to you, including data protection, consumer protection, e-commerce, tax and accessibility laws.

Code samples, snippets and hooks are provided as illustrations and are used at your own risk.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BerryPress will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of profits or revenue, loss of business, site downtime, security incidents, or costs of substitute services, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Documentation Site or reliance on its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law, including mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you where you are a consumer.

5. Intellectual property

The text, structure, graphics, screenshots, logos and other materials on the Documentation Site are owned by BerryPress or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. "BerryPress" and the BerryPress logo are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

BerryPress plugins are licensed under the GNU General Public License as described in the main website terms. That license applies to the plugin code, not to the documentation, branding, screenshots or other content of the Documentation Site.

You may link to the Documentation Site and quote short excerpts for non-commercial purposes such as support, education or review, provided that you credit BerryPress and link back to the source. You may not copy, republish, scrape at scale, resell or create derivative works from the documentation without our written permission. This does not restrict any rights you have under mandatory law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • interfere with or disrupt the Documentation Site or the servers and networks connected to it;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure;
  • use automated means (bots, crawlers, scrapers) in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site, or to train machine-learning models on the documentation without our written permission, except where the law allows it; or
  • use the site, including the AI assistant, to violate any law or the rights of others.

7. AI assistant

The Documentation Site includes an AI-powered chat assistant provided by a third-party service. It generates answers automatically from our documentation. Its answers can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Do not rely on them for decisions that could affect your site, data, security or finances without verifying them against the written documentation, and do not enter passwords, license keys, payment details or other sensitive or personal information into the chat. If you need authoritative help, contact BerryPress support. The chat is subject to our Privacy Policy and to the terms of the service provider.

The Documentation Site links to websites and services that we do not control, including WordPress.org, hosting providers, social networks and payment providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

References to third-party products (including WordPress, WooCommerce and bbPress) are for identification only. All trademarks belong to their respective owners, and BerryPress is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by them.

9. Support

The Documentation Site does not create a support relationship. Support for BerryPress plugins is provided under the terms of the main website, through help.berrypress.com. Messages sent through the Documentation Site, the community group or social networks do not guarantee a response or a particular outcome.

10. Feedback and contributions

If you send us feedback, suggestions, corrections or contributions (for example through support or the community group), you grant BerryPress a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, modify and publish them without obligation to you, and you confirm that you have the right to do so. We are not obliged to act on any feedback.

11. Changes to the site and to these Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Documentation Site, and update these Terms, at any time. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version. Changes take effect when published. Your continued use of the site after that means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland and applicable European Union regulations, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. Disputes will be resolved by the courts competent under applicable law. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We do not commit to take part in alternative dispute resolution procedures.

13. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and, where relevant, the main website terms, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Documentation Site.
