Requesting an Invoice

During Checkout

To receive an invoice:

  1. Go to Section 2: Billing Address at checkout
  2. Check "I need an invoice" option
  3. Fill in company details (if applicable)
  4. Complete purchase

Invoice will be manually issued and sent to your email within a few days.

After Purchase (Individuals Only)

If you're an individual (non-company) and didn't request an invoice during checkout:

Contact us at help.berrypress.com within 3 months from the end of the month of purchase.

Legal Requirement

Under Polish tax law, invoice requests for individual purchases (non-business) without prior request must be made within 3 months from the end of the month when the sale occurred. After this period, invoices cannot be issued.

Note: Companies/businesses should always request an invoice during checkout by checking "I need an invoice" and filling in company details.


VAT Exemption (EU Businesses)

Who Qualifies

Eligible:

  • Registered business in EU member state
  • Valid VAT ID (active in VIES system)

How to Apply

At Checkout:

  1. Fill in "Company" field → VAT ID field appears
  2. Enter VAT ID: XXYYYYYYYYY (country code + number, no spaces)
  3. System validates against EU VIES
  4. If valid → 0% VAT applied (reverse charge)

Troubleshooting

VAT ID Field Not Showing

  1. Fill in "Company" field (must not be empty)
  2. Select EU country
  3. If still not showing → Open ticket

VAT ID Rejected

If your VAT ID is rejected:

  1. Verify format (no spaces/dashes, correct country code)
  2. Check on VIES directly
  3. If valid on VIES but rejected → Open ticket with your VAT ID

VAT Charged Despite Valid VAT ID

If VAT was charged incorrectly:

  1. Open ticket immediately (within 30 days)
  2. Provide: order number, VAT ID
  3. We'll verify and refund VAT amount after reviewing

Invoice Not Received

Check:

  1. Spam folder
  2. Email address in account settings

If still not received:

Need to Correct Invoice

To update invoice details:

  1. Open ticket
  2. Provide order number and corrections needed
  3. We'll issue corrected invoice within 1-3 business days

Invoices cannot be modified after issue - we must issue a corrected invoice.


FAQs

Q: Can I get VAT exemption as an individual?
A: No. Only registered businesses with valid VAT ID.

Q: What if my VAT ID is valid but rejected?
A: Open ticket with VIES screenshot showing validity. The Vat will be refunded.

Q: How long to get invoice after purchase?
A: Manually issued within a few days. Check spam folder.

Q: Can I add VAT ID after purchase?
A: No. VAT ID must be entered during checkout. Open ticket for more assistance.

Q: Where do I find my invoices?
A: Invoices are sent via email. Check your inbox and spam folder.

Q: I need to change billing email.
A: Update in Account Details. Future invoices use new email.
