Carts Stuck on Active or Not Converting

Carts stay Active and never become Abandoned

Cart statuses and archiving are updated by a WordPress scheduled task (WP-Cron, event phplugins_livecarts_hourly) that runs once an hour, not live.

  1. Is WP-Cron running? Check BerryPress → Live Carts → Status → Scheduled tasks (WP Cron). If DISABLE_WP_CRON is set to true in wp-config.php, your host must trigger wp-cron.php on a schedule, or nothing will update.
  2. Is your site quiet? WP-Cron only runs when someone visits. On low-traffic sites the update can be late. A real server cron job that calls wp-cron.php every few minutes fixes this.
  3. Is it just not time yet? The default abandonment time is 2 hours. Pro can shorten or lengthen it.

The same schedule sends recovery emails, so fixing it fixes those too.

Orders are not marked as Converted

A cart is converted when its order reaches a conversion status. If you use custom order statuses, or an unusual flow such as manual payment, check Settings → Lifecycle → Conversion statuses.

  • The screen lists the statuses currently used. Is your "paid" status in the list?
  • If not, tick Choose order statuses manually and add it.

See Lifecycle settings.
