Carts Are Not Being Tracked
If the cart list stays empty, or a particular cart is missing, work through these checks in order.
1. Are you testing as an excluded user?
The most common cause. If you are logged in as an administrator and your role is excluded, or Guest visitors is excluded and you're testing logged out, your own cart won't be tracked.
Test in a private window, with an account that isn't excluded.
2. Is there something in the cart?
A cart is recorded when it contains at least one product. An empty cart has no record.
3. Check the Status page
Open BerryPress → Live Carts → Status. Everything should look healthy: database tables present, migration complete. If a migration has failed, use Re-run migration. See Status and debug log.
4. Check requirements
Live Carts needs recent versions of WordPress, PHP and WooCommerce. If you run Pro, keep the free plugin up to date: Pro needs a minimum free version, and Live Carts shows a notice in the admin if yours is older.
5. Look for a conflict
Another plugin (or theme) that changes how WooCommerce sessions or carts work can interfere.
- Switch to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Five.
- Deactivate other plugins except WooCommerce and Live Carts.
- Add a product to the cart again.
- If it now appears, re-enable your plugins one by one to find the culprit.
6. Read the debug log
Turn on debug mode with log level All (verbose), add a product to the cart, and read the log. It records each cart being loaded, created and updated.
Still stuck?
Send support the Status page details and the log: help.berrypress.com for Pro, or the WordPress.org forum for the free plugin.
