Installation and Setup

This guide covers the complete installation and setup process for the Live Carts for WooCommerce plugin.

Prerequisites​

Before installing the plugin, ensure your WordPress site meets the following requirements:

System Requirements​

  • WordPress: Version 6.2 or higher
  • PHP: Version 7.0 or higher (PHP 8.0+ recommended)
  • WooCommerce: Latest stable version (required dependency)

Pro Version Requirements​

  • Base Plugin: Live Carts for WooCommerce (free version) must be installed first
  • Minimum Free Version: 1.0.12 or higher
  • Order Number: Valid BerryPress order number for activation

Server Requirements​

  • Memory: Minimum 128MB PHP memory limit (256MB+ recommended)
  • Cron Jobs: WordPress cron functionality enabled for automated tasks

Installation Methods​

  1. Access Plugin Installation Page

    • Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
    • Navigate to Plugins > Add New

  2. Search for Plugin

    • In the search box, type "Live Carts for WooCommerce"
    • Locate the plugin by BerryPress in the search results

  3. Install the Plugin

    • Click Install Now button
    • Wait for the installation to complete
    • Click Activate to enable the plugin

Method 2: Manual Upload via WordPress Admin​

  1. Download Plugin

  2. Upload via Admin

    • Go to Plugins > Add New
    • Click Upload Plugin button
    • Choose the downloaded ZIP file
    • Click Install Now
    • Activate the plugin after installation

Method 3: FTP/SFTP Upload​

  1. Download and Extract

    • Download the plugin ZIP file
    • Extract the ZIP file to reveal the live-carts-for-woocommerce folder

  2. Upload via FTP

    • Connect to your server via FTP/SFTP
    • Navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ directory
    • Upload the entire live-carts-for-woocommerce folder

  3. Activate Plugin

    • Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins in the WordPress admin
    • Find "Live Carts for WooCommerce" and click Activate

Pro Version Installation​

Installing the Pro Plugin​

The Pro version requires the free version to be installed and activated first.

  1. Purchase and Download

    • Purchase Pro plugin from BerryPress
    • Download the Pro plugin ZIP file from your account

  2. Install Pro Plugin

    • Use Manual Upload via WordPress Admin or FTP/SFTP Upload for Pro ZIP file
    • The Pro plugin will be named live-carts-for-woocommerce-pro

  3. Activation

    • Navigate to WooCommerce > Live Carts
    • Enter your BerryPress order number and email when prompted
    • Submit to enable Pro features

Access Admin Interface​

After successful installation and activation:

  • Navigate to WooCommerce > Live Carts
  • You should see the cart management interface
  • Initially, the list will be empty until carts are created

Access Analytics Integration​

  • Go to WooCommerce > Analytics > Live Carts
  • The analytics dashboard should load with initial data if there are carts in the database
